A Committed and tireless player while at West Ham. He will be sorely missed in England as well as in Cameroon and Africa and football in general. Peace Be Upon You Marc.

footballing world - such a terrible shame of a young talent.
Alan Burford
A great player for the Hammers who always gave 100%
for the team. A tremendous shock that someone so young should die
in such tragic circumstances. My deepest sympathy to his family
& the Camaroon nation.
Paul Brier
I along with my son, Daniel send our sincere
condolences to Marc Vivien's family.
He was a joy to watch and I am glad my son and I saw his only goal at The Boleyn Ground against Sheffield Wednesday in November 1999, the smile on his face said it all. Marc, you will be sadly missed.
Adam Gardiner
Marc will be missed by all football fans, he was a
great signing for the club and will live on in all football fans
memories especially of those at Upton Park. He is a legend at upton
park and will be deeply missed all round.
Sharon Nunn
I am shocked and saddened by this terrible news. My
thoughts go out to his family. I am proud to think he played for
us, may he rest in peace.
Tom McCool
During his short time at west ham he'll surley
be remembered as one of the most influential midfielders and a true
gentlemen. Take it easy big man..
David Wotson
He wasn't at West Ham for very long but he left
us with memories that will stay with us forever. A truley talented
man. Our thoughts and love are with his family and friends. The
world of football has been rocked.
Matthew Grindley
Marc Vivien Foe - A big man in every sense of the

missed. Rest in
Peace.
Darren Smith
I went to see West Ham play and Marc played really
well in the game. I was in tears that we got relegated but nothing
compares to how badit hit me when they said Marc died, its a tragic
loss to the world of football and will be missed through out the
world. Please pass on my thoughts to Marc`s family and friends.
R.I.P Marc!
Grant Philpott
Today is one of the saddest days. Yes football is a
game, but not JUST a game and the world of football is stronger for
knowing Marc-Vivien Foe. You died doing what you loved. We will
never forget you Marc and though you left the Hammers there's
another part of heaven wearing claret and blue today.

I don't think we ever saw the best of Marc in
his time at Upton Park but his displays for Man City last year gave
a glimpse of how good he could have been had he stayed with West
Ham. It was with great shock and sadness that I learnt of his
untimely death. My deepest condolences go to his family at this sad
time.
James Spicer
A great ambassador to West Ham and Manchester City
alike. A great loss to the people who knew him and the world of
football. He was such a honest hardworking player, a great joy to
watch. Hope the players of camaroon give him a fitting tribute by
winning the final on sunday.
Chris Tooze
The first time I saw Marc play was just a day I will
never forget because at the time he was one of west hams great
players and his skills where outstanding. I am was realy upset to
hear what happened and I wish his family all the best.
Gerry Naughton
I was very shocked and saddened by the news of
Marc's death.
I saw him play a few times for West Ham, and remember the big grin
he had when he was paraded infront of the press with Paolo Dicanio
when they both signed for the club. I never met him but was very
impressed with his commitment and fitness. If he hadn't won the
ball in midfield that time against Wimbleon and passed it to Trevor
Sinclair, then Paolo would not have scored that beatiful goal.
I am so sorry. My deepest symphony goes out to his family.
Martin Browning
I was saddened to hear of Marc's death. The game
of football has lost a true talent, but the world has lost a true
gentleman. My thoughts are with his family, as well, I'm sure,
as fans of Lyon, Manchester City, West Ham, Cameroon and also
football in general.
Alan Burdon
The pain and shock that we as West Ham fans feel is
dwarfed by that of Marc's family. My thoughts are with you at
this tragic time. Marc will be sorely missed. God rest his
soul.
