Another Year For George

Tony Carr says that George Sealey is more than worthy of another year at the club to show what he can do.

"He had a long period of injury and we probably haven't seen the best of George yet," says Tony.

"His form has been intermittent because of his injury problems.

"He played very well in our youth cup run and we owed him a third year so I am looking forward to him improving and proving what a good goalkeeper he is."

George is of course the son of former goalkeeping coach Les, who tragically died of a heart attack.

George's brother Joe is a former trainee goalkeeper at the club as well.

"Obviously Les was close to both his boys, George and Joe, and it hit them very hard like it would with any boy whose father was cut down in his prime like that," says Tony.

"To be fair, Joe when he was here and George who is still here, have got on with it and are moving forward slowly.

"It is difficult but they are coping very well."
