West Ham opened their pre-season campaign with a comfortable 4-0
victory over Bournemouth on Tuesday night.
The Hammers finished the game with 10 men after Jermain Defoe limped off and there were no other substitutes available.
The lively Don Hutchison opened the scoring and Trevor Sinclair made it two, latching onto a Schemmel pass.
Hutchison then made it three with the goal of the night, a sweet volley, before Joe Cole completed scoring with a well taken header.
Cole, Defoe and Richard Garcia all hit the woodwork during the game.
