That rearrangement means West Ham will play three Sundays on the trot, with Premiership matches against Arsenal (away) and Liverpool (home) either side of the cup game.
And although it means an extra day's recovery from the visit to Charlton Athletic, moved at the Addicks' behest to the previous Wednesday, it is one less day to prepare for the visit of Blackburn the following Wednesday - in what is an intense spell of games for the Hammers.
At least there is some respite from reserve team action with next week's trip to Arsenal, like the away game at Ipswich this week, being postponed.
Although no new date for the trip to Portman Road has been set yet, the visit to Underhill to play the Gunners will now be on May 6th.
And, of course, West Ham host Fulham in the FA Youth Cup at Upton Park next Tuesday, January 14.Kick off is at 7pm.
