"Everyone is back and okay, and from a first team point of view we are fairly clear of injuries."
"Nigel Winterburn is fine after the pin was put in his wrist and needs a few weeks rest.
"There is only one injury among the younger lads, Ayo Akinsete, so it is fingers crossed for the run in."
The key to the final months of the season is to avoid injuries if at all possible, and Simon adds: "We work as hard as any other club - if not harder - to get people fit and maintain their fitness."
And he stresses that the spirit in the camp is high.
"While there are points to be played for everyone will be positive and we are going for every point we can get," he adds.
Lee Bowyer will be fit to play at West Brom, confirms Simon, after he recuperates from an injection to solve a slight ankle injury that he has been playing through of late.
"He just needs rest so the injection has got chance to take and then he will be back in training next week," he says.
"He has just been getting on with things but it got to the stage where we had a couple of weeks without a game so it was the ideal time to get an injection popped in.
"You could say he has been playing with a bit of a knock but he is not one to moan; he has got on with things and competed.
"But hopefully this injection will improve his symptoms."
