"Everyone came through okay after the weekend and the work has been on fitness, injury prevention stuff, and team play to nail the system down a little bit more," says Alan Pardew, who is looking for back to back wins.
"Maybe this is a good game for us; if we were at home against a lesser side we might have got carried away but we are under no illusions.
"We obviously have some history after what happened at our place so it is going to be a good atmosphere there, and we will have our normal fantastic away support - I said to the players that they don't realise how lucky they are in that respect."
Alan is pleased that Kevin Horlock got his first ever West Ham goal on Saturday and adds:
"Kevin had a little bit of a licence to get forward and so did Hayden so it was nice to see him some up with a goal.
"Hayden broke into the box a couple of times which was good to see because we have got to get goals from other areas and it is important the midfield start contributing."
In all, six players are still looking to get back to full fitness: Rob, Matthew, Steve Lomas, Rufus Brevett, Neil Mellor, and Elliott Ward.
