West Ham have extended the loan spell of Robbie Stockdale from
Middlesbrough for another month.
It is just the birthday present he wants - he was 24 on Sunday - as he tries to impress Alan Pardew in his search for a more permanent stay at Upton Park.
Says Alan:
"I just felt that another body was needed and we are lucky that Steve McLaren let us have Robbie.
"He really hasn't had a chance because of the hamstring injury, just one game and the little bit at Spurs.
"It is fingers crossed that he stays injury free - I think he wants to make his career here and it is an opportunity for him.
"I like players who are hungry and looking for something; it spurs them on.
"The ball is in his court as I said when before he unfortunately got injured and that remains the case."
