Richard Ok

Richard Garcia came through Tuesday night's Australia under 23 friendly against Spain in Lorca unscathed - and is ready to play his part, if required, on Saturday.

Richard, who was on the bench on Sunday at Maine Road, has yet to make an appearance in the league this campaign, but is on standby if required.

"Things are not too bad, I am just getting on with it, and it is back to training tomorrow," he said, after returning to England on Wednesday afternoon.

"I came on after about half an hour, I am fully fit, and hoping to be in the squad on Saturday."

With an doubtful list that includes Steve Lomas and Joe Cole, Richard may yet get some first team action at the season's climax.

David Noble was Scotland under 21 duty against Spain, while Christian Dailly and Don Hutchison were on Scotland duty for their match against Austria at home, and Gary Breen was in Ireland as they hosted Norway in Dublin.

With Ian Pearce suspended, pending the result of an appeal, Christian or Gary will step in to the centre of the defence.
