Glenn Roeder has paid tribute to the youngest soldier to die in the
Gulf War, West Ham fan Kelan Turrington.
He says:
"Everyone at West Ham United was very sad to learn of the death of one of our supporters, 18 year old Kelan Turrington from Cambridge, who tragically died in the war and was the youngest British soldier killed while fighting to liberate Bazra.
"The thoughts of myself, the players, and all the staff at the club are with his father John, also a West Ham fan, his wife Ann, his family, and his friends at this difficult time."
Kelan was a member of the 1st Battalion Royal Regiment of Fusiliers.
