MD Paul Aldridge reveals that Fredi Kanoute's agent has had no
part in a story, since denied by the player himself,
suggesting that he is looking for a move away from Upton Park
this summer.
Naturally, Paul is disappointed about the story appearing at all, but especially at such a crucial time of the season.
He has, at least, the compensation of knowing it not to be true and says: "Coincidentally, I was speaking to Fredi's agent Pape Diouf on another matter this afternoon, we touched on the subject of Fredi, and he confirmed that he and Fredi had not discussed any plans for any sort of transfer request.
"In fact he was very surprised when I told him that there had been a bit of speculation on TV, and he assures me that Fredi was just concentrating on getting back in the team.
"He hadn't mentioned to him about wanting to leave at the end of the season - or at any period."
