Speculation that the former Fiorentina player, now a free agent, is a target has been rife, and he has intimated that West Ham are interested in him - and vice versa.
But Glenn insists: "The whole thing is purely speculation and there is nothing in it."
As for the trip to Chesterfield in the Worthington Cup on Tuesday night he says: "It is always nice to be drawn at home but I can't remember the last time we drawn first out of the hat.
"But there we are. We have done thorough research on them and I am told by the scouts that they are a footballing side which is good to hear in the second division. They like to get the ball down and pass well.
"The game is on Sky which gives added spice. We know why the game has been selecteed and that has to be motivation for us."
