Sebastien Schemmel insists that West Ham are good enough to mount a challenge for Europe this season - if a revival can come quickly.

"By the end of my contract not only do I want West Ham still to be in this division but to be in the UEFA Cup," he says.

"It is still possible this season, even, because we have a strong squad - I like this team, no problem.

"I want to play at Chelsea and we have nothing to lose - we want a good performance to help us win some points.

"They are a good side, as is everyone in the Premiership - including ourselves - but I will be going there looking for a win."

Seb says that one day West Ham could be as big a club as this weekend's opponents, and adds: "I hope so. I have a lot of ambition, as does Glenn, and there are a lot of international players here, so why not?"
