Louis Riddle has joined Stevenage Borough on a free transfer.
The versatile 20 year-old has been allowed to leave for the Conference side after being unable to make an impression at Upton Park - and at one stage sustained a broken leg which hampered his progress.
Secretary Peter Barnes confirms: "His contract has been cancelled, allowing him to take up a new on at Stevenage, and we wish him well."
Louis, who had a trial with the club in the close season, says: "I am happy to have joined them now but wouldn't have been in the summer.
"But now the time is right and it is a fresh start for me - there is so much competition at West Ham."
Louis went straight into the squad of eighth bottom Stevenage to face third placed Doncaster away on Tuesday night.
