Fredi Kanoute could return to action in a fortnight, says physio Simon Webster.

He travelled with him to Manchester where he is stepping up his training and says:

"Fredi Kanoute is up in Manchester now doing some rehab at the Total Fitness place where he will be doing cardiovascular fitness in the pool and a lot of hard work on his groin.

"I think we are looking at the most realistic time as being Aston Villa away to return but if not, the game after."

As for other injuries, he says:

"Don Hutchison is doing okay after a small setback; it is just light rehab and gradually building back into things.

"We would like to think it will be three or four weeks' time before he is playing if there are no delays, but he will obviously have to get through some reserve games and progress back into things.

"Steve Bywater has had some good news and we are happy that his graft has fully taken; he will be integrated back into training on a day on, day off basis as from next week.

"The following week he should be out there full time and be playing in maybe three to four weeks.

"John Moncur has had a bit of a bone bruise on his knee and he is getting better with each day; hopefully he will start running tomorrow or Sunday.

"The only other one was Izzie Iriekpen, who has had a small knock and will probably miss tomorrow but play for Orient again on Tuesday.

"As for Trevor Sinclair, he felt very confident that he would play and with those sort of injuries if the player is really confident that is what you go with and it is looking positive."
