Sebastien Schemmel returns to the West Ham squad for the Worthington Cup clash with Oldham Athletic on Wednesday night, while young midfielder Shaun Byrne is also included in a 19-man squad.
Steve Lomas says it really is time to get that first home win of the season.
"If you don't win your home games it puts you under pressure and that goes without saying - you don't have to be a mathematician to understand that," he says.
"Hopefully we will get a win and it will kick start the confidence; at the end of the day we need to get a result at home.
"The fans have been fair and at the end of the day they just want to see effort.
"We need to get a chance or two because we are not making them at home and that is disappointing."
Tomas Repka is not in the squad as he is suspended.
Squad: James, Van der Gouw, Forde, Schemmel, Pearce, Sofiane, Dailly, Winterburn, Breen, Cole, Byrne, Cisse, Carrick, Minto, Garcia, Lomas, Defoe, Camara, Rahim.
