Glenn Roeder is delighted that Trevor Sinclair is back in the England squad - and insists he had every justification in returning home when Kieron Dyer was pronounced 'fit'.
Some media comment criticised Trevor's initial decision to come home, but, as he prepares to fly back to South Korea now Danny Murphy is out, Glenn explains:
"He was obviously concerned about his wife not being well, he is a very family orientated man, and I wasn't surprised that he wanted to come home to be with her.
"But I have already spoken to him, he is thrilled to bits to be called up officially, and he is looking forward to the World Cup as any player should do.
"Of course he wasn't snubbing England because if he was, he was he wouldn't be wanting to return - and he can't wait to get back on that plane tonight.
"It is a great honour for him and for the football club to have three players in the World Cup; we finished seventh in the Premiership and we have three out of the final 23 which is an incredible achievement for the players concerned.
"At West Ham we are very pro our national team, we try to help if we can, and I am very pleased for Trevor."
