Duo On Trial

West Ham could have two Trinidad and Tobago trialists in action at Coventry on Wednesday evening.

"The training ground is a little bit full of trialists at the moment," says Paul.

"We have got a few in and two are involved tonight."

Midfielder Brent Raheen, currently at Levski Sofia, may play, and international team mate Nigel Pierre, a striker, is hoping to show what he can do at Coventry, and Paul adds:

"They have both shown quite a bit of ability in training, but you need to see them in competitive games and we will be looking at that in the reserve match."

Nigel will definitely start, and Paul adds:

"Nigel, a centre forward, plays alongside Dwight Yorke, and he has shown ability in training."

The Hammers have a young squad for the game with only five players - Steve Bywater, Scott Minto, Paul Kitson, Grant McCann and Steve Potts - having first team experience.

Players such as Michael Ferrante, who recently returned from a trial spell at Bristol Rovers, are hoping to impress watching scouts.
