Toddy Hot To Trot

Svetoslav Todorov has moved a significant step closer to his proposed £750,000 move to Portsmouth after the Home Office granted him a work permit.

23 year old Toddy now faces a medical on Wednesday, and, should he pass it, he will go into the squad to face Crewe at the weekend.

Toddy, who came over from Bulgarian side Liteks Lovech, admits to having mixed feelings about leaving.

"I think it is happy and sad; sad in one way but happy in another," he says.

"I still have to have a medical and if everything is okay with this I will be happy to be playing football again, because I need to do that.

"The experience I have had has been good for me, and it is my ambition to get back in the Premiership again because it is the best championship in the world.

"The supporters at West Ham are great, the players are too, and I have had a good relationship with everybody - they are nice people there and I really loved the fans.

"But it was very difficult with all the good strikers there, so now I am looking to play regular football again."
