Young midfielder Richard Garcia confesses that he and his colleagues have to put things right on Wednesday following Saturday's disappointing last-gasp defeat at Villa Park.

He says: "We have got a bit of thinking to do about our game - everyone in the dressing room was down on Saturday but we have to pick ourselves up and look forward to Everton now.

"To concede so late is always disappointing and the lads feel we have let the points slip away, but I thought we were the better side and should have had something."

Richard, who is close to signing a two-year contract at Upton Park, was making his second full appearance and is likely to remain in the side if John Moncur does not return on Wednesday.

He adds: "It was another game under my belt and hopefully there will be a few more to come this season.

"I enjoyed it a lot better in the second half when I was playing centre midfield."
