Season Tickets On General Sale

Season Tickets at West Ham United have now gone on general sale, with a record number of supporters expected to secure their seats for the 2002-03 Premiership campaign.

After the deadline passed with a best-ever rate of season ticket renewals, a stream of new applicants have been queuing at the Upton Park ticket office to ensure they don't miss a minute of the action in what will hopefully be a successful second full season in charge for Glenn Roeder.

Says Ticket Office manager Steve Kitcher: "The response for season tickets has been fantastic this year and we are expecting record sales.

"The renewal rate was the best ever and the freeze in prices is obviously proving very popular. We are also looking forward to welcoming many more younger supporters. Our under-16 season ticket is the cheapest in London and it's very important that we look after the fans of the future."

Steve also reveals that any supporters purchasing a season ticket will be invited to make sure they are happy with the view their seat will provide.

"New season ticket holders are quite welcome to come along to the stadium, where a steward will show them to their seat and answer any questions they may have.

"There is a real buzz around the club after the excellent finish to last season, and the impression we get from supporters is that everyone is looking forward to seeing Glenn and the players enjoy more success in the next campaign.
