Paul Goddard says that Trevor Sinclair can really make his name on Friday when he helps England take on Brazil.
"What a good stage it is for Trevor Sinclair," says Paul.
"The quarter finals of the World Cup against Brazil - you don't get too many better chances than that."
Trevor has said that it is interesting that he is probably set to play in the quarter finals of the World Cup, having not played in the same stage of the Worthington.
"You have the semi-finals and the final, but it is great, and I am really pleased for Trevor because he has worked really hard," says Paul of Trevor's biggest moment.
"His performances over the season have got better and better as well for West Ham; I think he would be the first to admit that he wasn't in great form early on in the season, but he was getting better and better and was a big influence in our success last year."
Paul also believes that Trevor's ability to adapt is a huge asset, and adds:
"He can play right across the middle of the park, up front if I remember, and he has great versatility.
"There have been a number of times Glenn and myself have sat in the office and said 'we have got this problem - will you play there?' and he has said he hasn't got a problem.
"In fact he would say 'no problem, just let me know what you want to try' - and what an asset to have.
"Some players don't like changing but Trevor will play anywhere for the team - and it is great for any player to do that for the team."
Meanwhile, Paul will be rooting for England on Friday, and says:
"I think the winner of this game is going to win the tournament, but if you ask me who is going to win this game, I don't know - and that is the honest truth.
"It might take one flash of brilliance from someone, and you have to say they have more players that can provide that flash although we are not short ourselves.
"We certainly look more organised and compact than them - and hopefully that will hold us in good stead."
