Steve Bywater will soon learn whether he has a three month lay-off
coming up as he sees a specialist about a recurrence of his wrist
injury.
Steve, who damaged a schaphoid bone at the end of last season, has yet to play in the two preseason games West Ham have had thus far, with Raimond van der Gouw opr David Forde providing custodial duties.
John Moncur, who has also yet to play, has a back injury, while Steve Lomas [inflammation of the knee] will be out for about ten days.
Shaun Byrne has a slight groin strain which has ruled him out so far, while Don Hutchison is continuing his rehabilitation in Canada.
There were no major injuries from the friendly at Southend, though Christian Dailly sustained a minor foot injury.
