Ludo, a former Czech international of course, will help Vladimir, from just over the border in Slovakia, to settle in at Upton Park as quickly as possible - as will Tomas Repka.
Vladimir has been playing for Tomas' old club Sparta Prague, but is set to sign for West Ham this week if certain formalities are completed.
Vladimir previously played for Slavia Prague, and joined Sparta in 1999 before a collision with team mate Petr Gabriel ruled him out of action for six months with a broken leg.
But he has long since recovered from that, and has been one reason why Sparta have one of the meanest defences in the Champions' League - a competition in which they could go through to the last eight.
And Ludo reckons Vladimir's delivery of the dead ball will be a big hit with the fans.
"He is good with set pieces and can take free kicks, corner kicks, and penalties - he is a very skilful player.
"I don't know if he can strike a ball like Julian Dicks but he has a very good kicking technique and can really damage the opposition with his set pieces.
"I think he will be a good player for us and hopefully he will settle down well. In both ways, going forward and defending, he is very good and I hope he will start playing as soon as possible.
"He is very well known and everyone says that he is the best left back in the Czech and Slovak Republics."
Ludo thinks there will be no problems settling in, and adds: "We wanted to show him West Ham first and he likes the atmosphere of English football and Upton Park. That, I think, was the main reason he decided to join us now and not in the summer.
"He saw the Arsenal game and he was pleased with the way we played - it was an entertaining game.
"The first couple of months are always a little bit difficult but I think he will settle well and we will do everything in our power to help him.
"English football is very different from any continental game but I think he will be fine."
And Ludo insists that Tomas Repka is quite comfortable with his new surroundings now, adding: "Tomas is feeling at home now and he really likes our fans and English football.
"And he is just getting yellow cards now, not red!"
