Michael Carrick and Paolo Di Canio are both likely to miss the FA Cup clash with Macclesfield Town at the weekend, says physio John Green.
"Michael blocked a shot against Liverpool towards the latter part of the game and it caused a bit of a medial ligament strain in his knee so we don't think he will play against Macclesfield," admits John.
"Paolo basically had a strained hamstring just above the knee so he can't extend himself at the moment.
"Glenn took the decision to leave him out and I don't think he will be ready this weekend either, but he should be okay for Leicester.
"We can't afford to lose anyone for any length of time.
"Steve Lomas and Ian Pearce are working hard on their recovery and we hope they will be back in early February.
"Steve Bywater has now got the plaster off his hand and he could be back in mid-February."
