Glenn Roeder will not be looking to bring Stephen Hughes to Upton
Park on a permanent basis.
Hughes, recently released by Watford, once interested former boss Harry Redknapp - but he is not for Glenn, who says:
"His agent rang up Paul Aldridge and asked for the possibility of coming in to use our training facilities.
"Because of the smallness of the groups we have got to work with on the training ground it seemed the logical thing to do.
"Then we asked him if he would play in the reserves, because we are short of numbers, and he kindly agreed.
"But that's all it is, really; he has come in to help his fitness and he helped us by playing in the game."
