Reserves Play Fulham

Kevin Keen makes a return to playing action on Tuesday evening as a depleted Hammers reserve team takes on Fulham at Dagenham & Redbridge's Victoria Road ground.

The under-17s coach, who joined from Macclesfield in the summer to take up the post, is still registered as a player.

More importantly, Don Hutchison returns, and Glenn Roeder says: "He is going to have 45 minutes and I expect to see more sharpness in his game.

"He has had two lots of 90 minutes now where it has been a bit of a plod for him, though he has got through them.

"Now I want 45 minutes of sharp work off him. He knows he is coming off at half time and if I see that sharpness in his game that is at least going to make him available for the bench over the Christmas period."

As for Fredi Kanoute, Glenn says: "I won't risk Fredi in the reserves as he is doing a lot of work with John Green.

"I certainly expect him in football training tomorrow and I am very hopeful, yet again, that he will be fit for the weekend."

Steve Bywater, the only other player apart from Don - and Kevin! - with first team experience, plays the first full game of his comeback after coming on for the injured Raimond van der Gouw in the reserves last week.

Also playing is former Arsenal midfielder Stephen Hughes, who is looking for another club after being released by Watford this week.

Team: Bywater, Byrne, Blewitt, Hutchison, Iriekpen, Ferdinand, Keen, Hughes, Eastwood, Rahim, McMahon. Subs: Laws, Forde, Tattum, Khan, Collington.
