Reports of a move to Austria Vienna have proven to be unfounded, with the 28 year old, who joined last January for £900,000, opting to go back to the club that made him well known in the first place.
Vlado was happy to leave behind Champions' League football to try his luck in the Premiership, but his only first team appearance this season was as a sub in the 4-0 defeat at Newcastle on the first day of the campaign.
Competition between Scott Minto and Nigel Winterburn has meant he hasn't played since, while last year he made seven starts and eight substitute appearances.
Says Paul of the man with the white boots and the stylish left foot:
"I can confirm the deal is with a view to a permanent return, and we wish Vladimir all the best.
"It hasn't quite worked for him in England as he would have hoped, but when he did become available, a number of clubs across Europe were interested."
With one less wage to pay now Vlado has returned, it is hoped that the outbound move will allow Glenn Roeder a little flexibility with incoming loan deals in January.
