Arsenal v West Ham United
Arsenal entertain West Ham United on Wednesday night hoping to take another big step towards the Premiership title with three points against their London rivals.
Arsene Wenger's team need just three more wins from their remaining four games to secure the championship for the first time in four years. However they will not find it easy against a Hammers side that are in good form at the moment taking 13 points out of the last 15 available and suffering just one Premiership defeat in their last seven matches.
Many critics tipped the east Londoners for the drop after they elevated coach Glenn Roeder to the manager's chair in the close season. However the former member of the England coaching team has done well in the Hammers hot seat and can look forward to his team securing at least a top 10 place.
Built on the solid foundations of goalkeeper David James - who is likely to be busy with the home team's 49% shooting accuracy the best in the Premiership - the Hammers have gained memorable wins at the likes of Manchester United under Roeder's leadership, but to triumph at Highbury may be too much to ask.
Arsenal are in irresistible form at present, winning their last nine consecutive Premiership games, and although they were made to sweat against lowly Ipswich last weekend, their class shone through in the end.
Wenger, as he has previously stated this campaign, believes his team have the mental strength to win the title, but as is common in football he just wants to take one game at time and is not getting carried away just yet. He knows Wednesday's opponents West Ham will be no pushovers and with the likes of England hopefuls such as Joe Cole and Trevor Sinclair in their ranks, they will have players eager to impress.
But the home side should be too strong. With their superior pass completion rate of 78% - five percentage points better than their visitors - and more prolific strike force Arsenal should be able to brush West Ham aside, and you can get 7/1 on the Gunners repeating their 3-0 success from last season.
They will have to do without hat-trick hero that day, Sylvain Wiltord, who is currently ruled out with a thigh problem, but the likes of Thierry Henry and last Sunday's hero Fredrik Ljungberg are all capable of ruining the Hammers' penultimate away trip of the season.
