West Ham's Marathon Men

Chairman Terry Brown was among a number of people with West Ham connections who ran the London Marathon for charity on Sunday.

Terry, who ran a time of 4 hours 50 minutes, has raised over £10,000 for the Outward Bound Trust, and if you would like to make a donation you can do so via Alison Lovett at the club.

Ticket office manager Steve Kitcher, who regrets he was not able to answer enquiries about next season's prices en route, completed in 4 hours 40 minutes - and has promised to shave 30 minutes off his time when he runs in Berlin later this year.

He was running for the Richard House Trust, and, again, donations can be made via the club c/o Steve himself.

Kenny Wilson, on the ground staff, ran 3 hours 23 minutes for the Antony Nolan Bone Marrow Trust, while scores of Hammers fans ran for the Bobby Moore Fund, who can be contacted on 020 7269 3412.

West Ham supporter Alan Mayo ran for the Orchid Cancer Appeal, a charity supported by Craig Forrest, who was diagnosed with, and is recovering from, testicular cancer.

Donations can be made c/o 5th floor, Signet House, 49-51 Farringdon Road, London EC1 M3JP.
