Former midfielder Mark Robson is backing the Hammers to get a good result at White Hart Lane against another of his old clubs at the weekend.
Mark, who co-commentated here for the West Ham v Charlton match last weekend, was able to see at first hand how the club he supports beat the club he works for.
Robbo runs the successful U19 operation at Charlton, but took time out last Saturday to see how West Ham's rebuilding on and off the field was getting along.
"It was nice to go back to the club and sit in the new stand for the first time, and it was quite an entertaining game - though perhaps not quite as entertaining as the one at the Valley earlier in the season!"
Of the game, he says:
"Obviously West Ham are on a crest of a wave whereas Spurs have hit a bit of a brick wall and can't get a result at the moment, so I am quite optimistic for the Hammers to nick another three points, even though it is away from home.
"I think with Spurs' recent run of form perhaps the confidence isn't as high as it was at the start of the season; obviously they did ever so well at the start and were flying quite high.
"But at the moment it seems to be dented, while West Ham are the total opposite and have come into a bit of form.
"I would suggest they have every chance at White Hart Lane, with the attacking players they have got, albeit without Paolo.
"I think Spurs are a bit vulnerable at the back, certainly in the last few weeks, whereas West Ham's back line have started to close the doors; I know they have concede quite a few away, but just recently that seems to have changed a little bit."
Meanwhile, Robbo predicts that when Nigel Winterburn leaves Upton Park in the summer, he could stay in the top flight.
"He is obviously a terrific football player who is very wise; he could do what Stuart Pearce did for Manchester City, I would have thought," he says.
"I would be very surprised if he doesn't get a decent club in the first division - but he could probably have one or two in the Premiership showing interest."
