Glenn On Glenn

Glenn Hoddle says he's delighted fortune's no longer hiding for his friend Glenn Roeder at West Ham.

The Hammers boss was under a bit of pressure earlier in the season - not least after our 1-0 win at Upton Park back in November left his side just above the relegation zone.

The revitalised East Londoners travel to the Lane having crept above us in seventh spot in the Premiership, adding that little extra spice to an already eagerly-awaited derby clash.

"Glenn is a good friend," said Glenn. "He was with us in the England set-up and I'm delighted to see him turn it around. He's done a fantastic job there and I'm delighted for him.

"They are playing good football now - they've always played good football - but they are getting results.

"They have excellent young players in Cole and Carrick, experienced players and it's a nice balance.

"They'll come with a spring in their step having beaten Fulham away recently and we've got make sure we put on a good performance and get the right result. Our main objective now is to finish seventh."
