While immediate transfer activity may slow up after the club twice
broke their transfer record in a matter of days recently, MD Paul
Aldridge says that Glenn Roeder is still on the lookout for top
talent.
While a player is being linked with West Ham at the moment that neither have even heard of, Paul does say that the process of rebuilding is an ongoing one.
"The fact is that Glenn is already watching players for next season in order to strengthen the playing staff in the long term," he says.
"He is building up an in depth dossier of players and pursuing a strategy that looks at the bigger picture.
"Of course, he identified areas where we also needed to add personnel as soon as possible - and he has done that.
"But he is also aware of focusing on where he might be able to get players further down the line, and to this end he has established his own network of scouts."
* West Ham's press call this Friday will be at Upton Park at 12:30, for accredited journalists only.
