The home Premiership match against Aston Villa, scheduled for next
Wednesday (September 19), has been postponed.
Hammers have been forced to rearrange yet another home date following UEFA's decision today to cancel the rest of this week's European cup games and rescheduled them for next week, in the wake of the catastrophic events in America yesterday which have caused havoc with travel arrangements.
Villa were due to face NK Varteks in the UEFA Cup, first round,
tomorrow (Sept 13). But the Villa Park leg will now be played
instead on Thursday, September 20 - 24 hours after the previously
scheduled Upton
Park fixture.
West Ham United can also confirm that, contrary to reports elsewhere, this Saturday's Premiership visit to Middlesbrough will go ahead.
