Kitson Grabs Three

Paul Kitson scored a hat trick in his comeback game as a West Ham reserve side beat Rushden and Diamonds in a friendly win on Wednesday evening.
"It was a good hat trick," says coach Roger Cross, "and he can be very pleased with himself."
The game saw Costa Rican midfielder Maurizio Solis try to impress on trial, and Roger says:
"He was neat and tidy and passed the ball well."
Ragnvald Soma played left back and Roger adds:
"He hasn't had much chance to play there because of Scott Minto, but he did fine."
Omer Riza, trying to force his way into the first team squad, played well, says Roger, who adds:
"He worked very hard and might have scored a couple.
"He has got to put his chances away, and he was disappointed not to score, but at least he is getting in the positions.
"Hayden Foxe got a second game in since breaking his finger, and Steve Potts played well again."
Glen Johnson and an own goal made the score 5-1.
TEAM: Bywater, Charles [Newton], Soma, Byrne, Potts, Foxe, Clark, Solis, Kitson [Johnson], Riza, Ferrante [McCann].
* Flight restrictions mean that the squad will have to travel to Middlesbrough by coach on Friday, and therefore the press call scheduled for that day has been cancelled.
