Youths Finish Level

It was a day of draws all round for the Hammers, as our youth teams both shared the points with Tottenham Hotspur in their FA Premier Youth Academy League matches.

Tony Carr's under-19 side faced the north Londoners at home and had James Allen to thank as the score ended 1-1.

However, the result was soured by the sending-off of midfielder Anthony Dean.

Said Carr afterwards: "It was a fair result but Anthony was sent off for violent conduct and will be disciplined."

Under-19s Team: B.McMahon, Metitiri, Dean, Cleaver, Johnson, Smith (D.McMahon), Britton, Eastwood, Ritchie, Cascione, Allen. Unused: Fletcher, Morris.

Meanwhile, the under-17s also finished all square at Spurs' Chigwell ground, with Elliott Ward and Greg Pearson claiming the goals in a 2-2 draw.

Manager Peter Brabrook said: "Our two goals came from free-kicks that we have worked on in training, so that was pleasing.

"But their two were down to bad defending. Anton Ferdinand missed a header for the first and Trent McClenahan gave away a penalty."

Under-17s Team: G.Sealey, McClenahan, Ward, Lumsden, Tattam, Akinsete, Ferdinand, Carrick, Saunders (Cole), Pearson, Miller (Collington). Unused: Bunce, Parrington.
