Brabrook Satisfied

Peter Brabrook says he is quite happy with the way the new intake in his under-17 squad are adapting to life - even though they have lost both of their first two games.

"They are settling in quite well; but we haven't won a game yet and we will look to change that," he stresses.

"We deserved a draw at Leeds - we were much, much better than them.

"We should have won at Crewe, but it is not good enough to keep saying that.

"We haven't won a game, and if you win games it means you have got better players than the opposition.

"But it is far too early to assess things properly yet, we are only two matches into it.

"After Christmas we will have a better idea."

The main thing, he says, after the 2-1 defeat at Crewe last weekend, was getting back in front of the telly for the England match!

"It was tremendous," he says, "I was one of millions and millions enjoying it.

"Basically it was a team effort, it was first class, and to do it against the old enemy was especially pleasing."

Danny Morris was the scorer in the 2-1 defeat at Crewe.
