MD Paul Aldridge has confirmed that Trevor Sinclair has handed in a
transfer request.
Trevor, who still has over three and a half years to run on his current contract, informed Glenn Roeder of his decision on Monday afternoon.
Says Paul:
"I can confirm that Trevor has indicated he would like a transfer, and that request has now been passed on to me.
"I will discuss the matter in due course with my colleagues on the board and we will carefully consider what action to take next.
"But I can say that, as a club, we are very disappointed, especially as Trevor has just returned to the England squad and he is in the prime of his career.
"Glenn has gone on record as saying he does not want Trevor to leave, and we have not given him permission to talk to any other clubs at this stage."
