Fredi Kanoute admits that he doesn't have the answers as to why
West Ham capitulated to Everton on Saturday.
"I don't know what happened," he confesses, "we conceded bad goals, and I am disappointed."
In fairness to Fredi, he is still playing his way back to full fitness after hamstring problems, and still combining rehab with training to make the muscle stronger.
But he is offering no excuses for himself or his team mates, and says:
"5-0 is too much, and everything they tried they succeeded.
"Glenn was angry because of the goals we let in and that is it."
He does say, however, that the problems were at both ends of the pitch, and adds:
"We didn't defend well and didn't attack well - it was a poor game.
"It was very frustrating because we had a few chances to score, but we didn't.
"And as soon as they got a chance they scored.
"Everyone has to feel concerned about this, not just the defenders but the attacking players, everyone.
"It is the first time since I was here we have conceded five."
When reminded that the goals conceded in that match were more than the rest of the entire season - six other games - he admits to being shocked.
"I don't know what to say."
