Both West Ham United's under-17 and under-19 teams suffered
defeats at the hands of Leicester City on Saturday.
The under-19s went down 1-0, while Graeme Carrick scored the under-17s consolation in their 2-1 defeat.
Said Tony Carr of the older team: "It was an open game, we had two or three good chances and they scored with their only shot on target two minutes from time. We were the better side."
Peter Brabrook was less complimentary about his younger side: "We gifted them two goals and the strikers have to start scoring. A young side played quite well, though."
Under-19s: Jackson, Khan, Tattam, Ritchie, Ward, Lumsden, Akinsete, Cascione, Allen, Eastwood, Britton.
Under-17s: G.Sealey, Wright, Fletcher, Ferdinand, McClenahan, Collington, Carrick, Saunders, Cole (Tucker), Pearson (Noble), Morris (Cohen).
