Glenn On Coaching

Glenn Roeder says he is happy with the coaching set-up at the club.
Although Harry Redknapp and Frank Lampard - a visitor to Upton Park last week for the Chelsea game - left and only Paul Goddard has come in, Glenn explains that things are working well at Chadwell Heath.
"At the moment I don't think there is any need to bring in another coach," he says.
"I enjoy doing sessions myself and Paul Goddard has proven to be an excellent coach.
"The boys enjoy working with him and I like to step in and take sessions in the morning, so we both take an active part in the coaching.
"Roger Cross is also a good coach and getting a decent sized squad working with the reserves.
"Quite often we would have five or six players out on loan for a number of months and that would reduce the size of the reserves to three or four players, but Roger is getting at least a dozen players most days so he can have a decent session."
Glenn was happy with the reserves' 1-0 win over Chelsea midweek, with the second string's results showing a marked improvement on last season.
Glenn adds:
"The boys are reaping the benefits of staying together, working together every day, and under Roger's coaching they have put on some very good performances in the reserves this year."
