May 23 - Andy Marriott

Name: Andy Marriott

Lives: Basildon, Essex

Occupation: Manager

Years Supporting West Ham: 32

Why Did You Begin Supporting West Ham: I went with my uncle who was a season ticket holder and he bought me a full kit straight after the match. I was the only kid on my street with a real authentic football kit and was very proud to wear my claret and blue shirt until it fell to pieces!

What Was The First Match You Saw Live: It was against Sunderland in October 1968, when Geoff Hurst scored six goals. All I can remember is everyone jumping up and down all around me about every two minutes!

Where Do You Watch Hammers Matches From: I did watch it from the West stand until the end of the season.

Who Is Your Favourite All Time Hammer: Bobby Moore.

Who Is Your Favourite Current Hammer: Paolo Di Canio.

What Is Your Most Memorable Match: This season's FA Cup victory against Man. U. My one-year-old screamed the house down after I shouted so loud after the goal went in and woke him up!

What Is Your Most Memorable Goal: Trevor Brooking scoring the winner with his head against Arsenal in the FA Cup final in 1980. Most of my mates are Arsenal fans and wrote us off totally before the game.

What Is The Best Thing About Supporting West Ham: You are always guaranteed to be surprised by this team, no matter who is playing. Some of the football over the years has been amazing. To see Cottee and Frankie Mac in 1986 running riot against everyone was fantastic. Paolo and Joey Cole display true genius at times and Bobby Moore was the most sublime tackler and reader of the game ever.

What Is The Worst Thing About Supporting West Ham: Never feeling that we are safe in a game no matter what the score! I always feel apprehensive every time the opposition come forward. We just have this self destruct thing at times!

What Is Your All Time Memory as a Hammers Fan: Crying my eyes out when I found out about Bobby Moore's death and the reaction of every football fan in the country to losing a true world star.
