Speaking before training on Thursday morning, Glenn stressed:
"I haven't seen the reports but I understand there is a story saying we have allegedly made a bid of £7m for Dwight Yorke.
"It is not true, it is pure fantasy; but having been linked with so many players during this summer and since the season started that you wouldn't want to bring to West Ham, Dwight Yorke is a fantastic player.
"But he is a Manchester United player and a very good one.
"Any Premiership manager would admire Dwight Yorke's ability; he is a proven goalscorer and doesn't need me to tell you what he can do and what he can't do.
"£7m at this stage would be out of the question for us; what I am saying is, there is no truth in the story whatsoever.
"The speculation is well wide of the mark and I hope it doesn't persist because it must be unsettling for the player and Manchester United."
As for the claim that Tomas Repka has signed for West Ham, Glenn says:
"It is what I said a couple of days ago - the possibility of bringing Tomas Repka to the club is not over yet.
"It has taken a little bit longer than we thought; but in the past I have shown patience, and I will show it again.
"We will see what develops over the next couple of days.
"The deal is not dead, but it is not completed either.
"Until someone actually signs their contract it is not actually done, but it is an ongoing situation and he is a player I would eventually like to bring to the club.
"Transfer deals are not completed in 12 hours these days so we will just wait and see how things develop over the next few days."
