Whether the combination survives a second successive outing, with Paolo Di Canio available again after suspension, remains to be seen.
But Fredi was happy with the way things went against Liverpool, and says:
"It was very good; we both had a lot of chances we can both run a lot, we can create a lot of chances - and that's what we've done.
"But I think it was Dudek's day in goal and I am still thinking we should have won - but he has done many, many good saves.
"It was frustrating but we still have to be happy because I think we have done a good game and we have to be think of the future.
"We have to keep going like this because it is not enough to do a few games like recently and then drop."
He says it is too early to think about Europe, however, and adds:
"I prefer not to think about this; I prefer to play one game at a time.
"Now we must focus on Leeds and nothing else."
As for his own fitness following his second comeback game after being out with a thigh problem, he says:
"It is getting better an better and I am hoping to build up my shape; it is normal that it takes two or three games to build up the pace and everything."
