A West Ham X1 cruised to a comfortable 3-1 victory at Farnborough
on Monday night - thanks in part to two good goals from Richard
Garcia.
The game was watched by chief scout Ted Pearce - who used to manage the Hampshire club for 25 years.
Reserve boss Roger Cross says:
"The performance was very pleasing - there was good passing and movement, and we could have scored a lot more.
"The goals were good, and Richard's second was fantastic."
The Hammers, in fact, went a goal down after just four minutes, when a scramble was converted after Shaka Hislop blocked the initial shot.
Richard Garcia made it one apiece with a header from a corner before Shaun Byrne finished off an excellent move to put the Hammers ahead before the break.
A right foot drive into the far corner from the right wing completed Richard's brace - and the scoring.
TEAM: Hislop, Johnson, Charles, Byrne, Uddin, Potts, Newton [Clark 80], McCann, Garcia, Britton [Cascione 80], Riza.
