Glenn Roeder says that Trevor Sinclair's hamstring injury is
not a serious one.
Trevor left the field after just five minutes at Notts. County to be replaced by scorer Adam Newton, but Glenn says it was just a precautionary measure.
"Trevor Sinclair said he had a slight hamstring the day before the game, but felt fine on the day.
"But in those first few minutes, when he made a run, he felt just a little bit uncomfortable and used his experience and came off.
"But he hasn't done any more damage and it is just a slight strain."
Glenn will spend the weekend at a training base in the Midlands mulling over whether to pursue the signature of Aliou Cisse, who came through the 90 minutes and hit a shot off the crossbar in the closing minutes of the game which appeared to hit the inside side netting before bouncing out.
""The boys that were down that end said the ball had crossed the line but it is irrelevant now.
"Overall he played his part and looked a hard working player.
"Hopefully we will make a signing or two very quickly; I feel we need to and I'm sure anyone looking at us will also know that we need to."
Of the game overall, he says:
"You are always disappointed to lose a game because we want to get a winning mentality at the club, but overall I was not disappointed in the performance.
"On clear cut chances we should have won the game comfortably, but I wasn't happy with their two goals because they both followed good saves from David James which saw their players getting to the rebounds before our defenders did.
"But we should have come away as winners with the number of chances we created."
Glenn hopes that Joe Cole will be back in action soon, and says:
"Joe's bruised foot is taking longer than we anticipated; it was scanned over a week ago, and is no more than bruising.
"We hope he will be able to play a part in the game at Rushden on Monday."
