H on the Villa draw:
"We did enough to win, and I felt we were the better side, but Paolo missed a chance that he would score 99 times out of 100.
"At that stage we were much the better team and they were doing nothing at all.
"It was all going to plan then everything that could go against us did."
H on John Moncur being in:
"Moncs did well, and was unlucky to be booked - which I don't often say about him as he usually deserves it."
H on Joe being out:
"If you are winning the job is easy and the team picks itself - you only have to chop and change when things are not going well.
"Joe is just like any other player and that means he will be picked on merit; players are not going to play every single game, no matter who they are.
"He has said that he was not happy and that's fine - now he has to show me that I was wrong and that he should play, and the only way he can do that is through performing on the pitch.
"Ever since he's been a kid, everything has been on the up for Joe, and he has not had any type of knock-back, but now that it has come to him, he has found it hard to deal with.
"That's understandable, as he is only a kid - it hurts him as he is a proud lad, and that is no problem, that's as it should be.
"What he has to do now is bounce back, not with words but with performances; I would expect to see him there against Derby, so maybe he will get his chance.
"There are a lot of players around the country who are talented but who are not in the team every week.
"There is no way that Joe can be an exception to that, but I have not had a problem with Joe at all this week.
"I am glad he was upset at being taken out of the team for a week.
"It can be hard to accommodate him in the team, I know that,as he cannot play as an orthodox central midfield player.
"But I will accommodate him somehow: you just have to, he has that much talent."
H on systems:
"People don't understand; how can I play 4-4-2 with the players I have got?
"If you have Joe and Paolo in your side you can't play 4-4-2, and wnyone who says you can is a fool and doesn't know what they are talking about."
H on saturday:
"It's vitally important the crowd gets behind us as we have not being playing so well at home.
"Confidence is low, people are scared of making mistakes, and the crowd will make all the difference over whether we win or lose."
H on Sebastien Schemmel:
"Let's get this season out of the way before we decide what to do."
H on next season:
"People say what a great squad we have got but in all honesty this is where we are and if it's the same squad next year our position won't be an awful lot different."
H on the Sol Campbell rumours:
"When we sold Rio I had a chat with the chairman and I wanted Sol.
"I spoke to his agent, and we'd have pushed the boat out and made him a fantastic offer.
"The wages would have been big but it still would have been cheap with no fee.
"But he wasn't really interested and I think there is every chance of him staying at Tottenham.
"Anderton and Ferdinand will probably stay at Spurs as well, won't they?"
H on Javi Moreno:
"He is a good player, a goalscorer, and the type I'd like to bring here.
"If we are to compete we need to strengthen as it will be a tough, tough division next year with Fulham and Blackburn coming up."
H on the relegation battle:
"I had no doubts about Charlton at the start and Ipswich have done fantastic.
"Manchester City need a miracle."
Superstitious? Nerves frayed on good friday? Let's try thirteen topics of interest from Harry Redknapp for friday the 13th - and don't walk under any ladders...
H on the Derby game:
"Jim Smith might be an old friend but we need the result which would probably put us out of it as well."
H on injuries:
"We'll have to wait and see on Ian Pearce and Christian Dailly."
[Rigobert Song, incidentally, WILL be allowed to play against Newcastle before going abroad with Cameroon.]
H on Hayden Foxe being away:
"It is absolutely ridiculous - we've just got him after a year and he goes away for these nonsense games.
"He didn't even play in the second one.
"But it's not the lad's fault, and there is nothing we can do about it."
Nervous on 13 still?
Ok, let's make it a 14 point piece with the thoughts of Paolo di Canio about the great conundrum:
"I was asked how I would react if the manager were to leave me on the bench and I said I would accept whatever he decides, which is true.
"But this does not mean I would be happy about it, nor does it mean that I think it would be good for the club.
"Sure, I've been on the bench before but, with respect to West Ham, that was at Juventus and AC Milan, where I was up against the likes of Gullit, Donadoni, Vialli, Baggio, etc.
"It's not like we have Pele and Maradona at West Ham, so I'm not sure what that would achieve.
"I am West Ham's top scorer this season, and with the goals I scored and those I created, I've had a hand in about half of the 35 League goals we've scored this year."
