Young Person Link Worker

The innovative model tackles youth violence reduction and offers support for those at risk by taking a public health approach centred around outreach mentoring services delivered in partnership with local Primary Care Networks. Based at GP surgeries, WHUF Youth Workers provide personalised mentoring and connect young people into existing services.

  • WHUF Youth Mentor works with identified CYP at risk of involvement in knife crime and implements preventative measures through a bespoke mentoring support.
  • Beneficiaries: The programme aims to reach identified CYP aged eleven to 18.
  • The Youth Mentor connects each young person to positive activities, clubs and associations; additional support services, as well as relevant information, advice and guidance.
