Kalvin Phillips joined West Ham United on loan until the end of the 2023/24 season from Manchester City in January 2024.

The central midfielder was born and raised in Leeds and helped his hometown club Leeds United win promotion to the Premier League in 2020 – the same year he made his debut for England.

Phillips has since gone on to represent the Three Lions at UEFA Euro 2020 and the 2022 FIFA World Cup finals, joined Manchester City in summer 2022 and won five trophies in his first 18 months with the Citizens.

Born in Leeds in December 1995…Began his football career at local club Wortley FC… Joined Leeds United’s Academy at the age of 14 in 2010…Captained Leeds United at youth and development levels before making his senior debut at 19 in April 2015….Established himself as a regular at 20 and played a starring role as the Whites won promotion to the Premier League under Marcelo Bielsa and he personally earned EFL Championship PFA Team of the Year honours in 2019/20…Made his England debut before playing in the Premier League when he appeared in a UEFA Nations League tie against Denmark in September 2020…Was an ever-present as Gareth Southgate’s England reached the UEFA Euro 2020 final before being beaten on penalties by Italy…Joined Manchester City in July 2022...Won the Premier League, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League treble with Manchester City in 2022/23…Won the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup with Manchester City in the first half of the 2023/24 season.
