Any Old Irons head behind the scenes for second podcast instalment

Sebastien Haller meets Any Old Irons members

The Any Old Irons West Ham United supporter group are breaking more boundaries in the newly released episode of their podcast, reporting directly from the Players’ Project celebration event at London Stadium.

The project, hailed as the most ambitious community programme ever created by a Premier League Club, last week celebrated its one-year anniversary through a range of activities showcased, featuring almost 200 participants and players from across the men’s, women’s and Academy teams.

With memories a key feature of the Any Old Irons programme, the group delivered a memorabilia exhibition consisting of precious items members have collected across many decades. Alongside this trip down memory lane, was a contrasting live podcast recording delivered by Any Old Irons members, John and Eileen.

Brought together as part of West Ham United Foundation’s scheme to tackle loneliness and isolation for those over 60 years old, the showcase encapsulated how the programme participants are blending past and present to re-engage with society.

Sebastien Haller, Roberta Moore, Conor Coventry, Kate Longhurst, Bobby Seagull and Arthur Masuaku were on-hand to lend their support and chat about life, sport and everything in between.

See the details below to hear what Roberta would get up to while watching her father, Bobby Moore, play for the Irons; how Haller deals with pressure and changes to his family; along with the dream that came true for Kate Longhurst.
