Kelley Blanchflower was the heroine as West Ham United Ladies scored a 1-0 FA Women's Premier League Southern Division win over Lewes at Ship Lane.
The forward, who is now back to full fitness after suffering a broken collarbone in the autumn, steered in the only goal of the game after 16 minutes. With fellow striker Hannah Gowland ruled out for the season with a fractured tibia, Blanchflower (pictured) stepped up to the plate to net her sixth goal of the season.
The victory - the Hammers' sixth in nine league matches played this season - sees Julia Setford's team climb to fourth in the table, eight points behind leaders Millwall Lionesses but with two games in-hand and a home game against the south London side to look forward to next weekend.
The Ladies will welcome Millwall to Thurrock FC on Sunday 10 March for a 2pm kick-off, the result of which could boost or dash West Ham's title and promotion chances.
West Ham TV will be at the Ladies' training session on Tuesday evening, bringing you all the build-up ahead of the Hammers' most-important league match of the 2012/13 season so far.
